About the Aletheia String Quartet
Formed in 2013, the Aletheia String Quartet is based in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Named after the Greek Spirit of Truth and Wisdom, the ensemble members are all teachers, in public schools and private lesson studios, and believe in the importance of music education for all up-and-coming musicians. Versatile in its performance, the Aletheia Quartet feels at home both on the concert stage and at special occasion venues. The ensemble is available for performances and collaborations throughout the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Aletheia String Quartet has performed at a variety of venues including Tempe History Museum, Marcos de Niza High School (Tempe, AZ), the John Paul Theatre at Phoenix College in collaboration with the Phoenix Metropolitan Men's Chorus, and the world-renowned Mesa Arts Center opening for opera superstar Renee Fleming. Past engagements have included concert performances with the Phoenix College Choirs, Ronald McDonald House Charities Annual Gala, Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens' Las Noches de las Luminarias, An Evening of Jazz with Jazz Jennings, the Arizona Human Rights Campaign Statewide Gala, One-n-Ten's Fresh Brunch, The Pride Guide's Wedding Expo, and a number of weddings/special affairs. Additionally, the Aletheia String Quartet has studied with and performed in masterclasses for members of the St. Lawrence String Quartet, flautist Tara O'Connor, and pianist Jamie Parker of the Gryphon Trio. |
